Immediate Financial Assistance
In the event of a death of a POST- certified law enforcement officer in the county of Orange the immediate family including the spouse, children or parents may receive assistance from Project 999. For the purpose of definition, officer includes deputy sheriffs and patrol officers, including California Highway Patrol, as described in section 830.1 of the California Penal Code.
Financial assistance is also available through the California Peace Officers’ Memorial Fund (CPOMF), to the primary survivor to help in their moment of need.

Survivor Support Groups
The California chapters of Concerns of Police Survivors, a peer support group made up of survivors themselves, which provides on-going assistance to the families of our fallen officers.

Scholarship Program
The California Peace Officers’ Memorial Fund (CPOMF) provides annual scholarships to eligible children and spouses of our honored officers. Between 2003 and 2016 their scholarship program has granted an average of over 15 scholarships per year totaling nearly $700,000. Visit camemorial.org for more information.
