Fallen Officer Memorial Run

Prior to graduation, each academy class selects a fallen officer/deputy to honor during their final run together.  This 5K is known as the Fallen Officer Memorial Run and takes place through the streets of Tustin.

The graduating class contacts the family and department of the fallen officer and invites them to participate.  Following the run, there is a BBQ which is sponsored by the Sheriff’s Advisory Council.  All in attendance are invited to eat hamburgers and hot dogs at the Peace Officers’ Memorial and enjoy the camaraderie of the group as they reflect on the sacrifices of those who have gone before them.

The Fallen Officer Memorial Run is significant to the graduating class and the Orange County Sheriff’s Regional Training Academy; it allows them to honor the fallen officer/deputy and let their family, friends and department know they will never be forgotten.
